These days, it is easy to submit to your racing thoughts. These thoughts, even though abstract, have very real effects on you and your well-being.
At a time where we can be easily occupied by different sounds, emotions, flavors, and smells just by the touch of a button, you will be tempted to think that the only way out of your racing mind is to give it much more to think about. You distract yourself, and you fill your mind even more.
Because of this, your mind becomes unsound, insecure in silence; no longer comfortable or at peace when it is just being with itself.

This channel wants to restore that silence, that empty state of mind, for it is the key to serenity. But how can we get there? Meditation.

 

An Old Piece of Wisdom

BackToMantra is an old piece of wisdom my teacher told me, and it is also the best advice we have come across in our lives. Now, BackToMantra is also the fruit of my relationship with meditation, which started as a self-taught practice for me. We know that emptying the mind, and reducing your thoughts to a mantra can be hard at first—which is why it is my honor and my passion to help those who seek meditation to recenter themselves; to go back to their mantra.

This channel aims to make a mark in the Youtube community’s meditation genre. It is a part of the web of connections made by people on the internet who seek to go back to their productive silence, to their mantra.

In a world so frequented by information and so increasingly frenetic, BackToMantra gives you the space and the environment you need to draw from your infinite energy within. This channel, by helping disseminate meditation worldwide, is your safe space. This channel wants to help you unlock your true self, because we know that that is what meditation has done for us.

But what is a Mantra?

Merriam-Webster defines a ‘mantra’ as “a word or phrase that is repeated often or that expresses someone’s basic beliefs”. But to me, a mantra is much more than this. Think of it as a vehicle, a distant noise, a background limited only by your senses. You concentrate on this noise and everything else that it means to you, in order to go deeper within yourself.

 

Of course, much like most practices, this is easier said than done. Do not fear your separation from your mantra. Only by doing this can you actively go back to it in the end. Our thoughts can overwhelm us, and wash over us like a wave. But do not fight it. Instead, when it washes over you, go deep, and then go deeper. Eventually you will find the depth of the ocean, and your mind will find serenity, solitude, and then peace. You will then float back to the top, you will be lightweight, free from harm. This is when we go back to our mantra.

How can this channel help?

BacktoMantra provides you with the ambience you need to find your solitude. Its posts are tuned to different Hertzes (Hz) because these have unique effects on your subconsciousness.

Music can be tuned to 432 Hz, 639 Hz, 528 Hz, and possibly many more. These tunings are choices that are not guesses but rather guided decisions by the channel. For example, its decision to tune some of its videos to 432 Hz is based on it being found to create calming and soothing effects to its listeners. This frequency was found by a double-blind study from Italy to slow down one’s heart rate. We chose this frequency because it can fill you up with peace and help your well-being. This frequency is the norm, and has been the norm since ancient times.

Because BackToMantra believes that we can learn from our ancestors.

The 639 frequency is another example of what we use in our videos. This helps balance one’s emotions and elevate one’s mood. BacktoMantra knows that meditation is not a one-size-fits-all type of situation, and knows that one might not want serenity as much as they would want a boost in emotion and their relationships. This frequency promotes interpersonal communication, love, understanding, and harmony.

Because BackToMantra knows we are social beings.

The frequency of 528 Hz, lastly, is used for physical healing and for repairing of the body. Though there is much still unknown about this, a 2018 study in Japan found that this frequency reduces the stress in endocrine and autonomic nervous systems after just 5 minutes of listening. It is also found to reduce the effects of alcohol on cells (Journal of Addiction Research and Therapy). This aims to energize you and  accompany you in your journey to healing.

Is it okay that I’m overwhelmed by meditation?

That’s okay. Silence can be loud, too.

 

If you are not ready to meditate yet, you can take baby steps. You can use BackToMantra as accompaniment for yoga, other gentle exercises, and sleep. We can assure you that even people who have been meditating for half of their lives find it difficult at times, so it is okay to take small steps toward its direction.

 

BackToMantra doesn’t want to add pressure to a stressed out mind. It wants to give it a chance to roam free.

For maximum effectiveness we recommend listening to one of our videos once a day for at least 30 days. You will begin to benefit from this immediately. After 10 days of listening, you will find yourself in a deeper relaxation. This will only get better as you go on.
